BlackBox Terms of Use

Last updated September 29, 2026. Provider: SYSTEMS LOGIC & AUTOMATION GROUP LLC, United States. Contact: backofficevets@gmail.com.

These terms describe BlackBox and its optional subscription. The planned launch offer is described below; it is not a statement that App Store review is complete. By choosing to continue setup or using BlackBox, you agree to these terms. The Privacy Policy explains processing and controls; separate permissions still apply to optional features.

License and eligibility

The iOS app is licensed under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms supplement that license and do not replace its conditions or rights under applicable law. Apple is not the provider of BlackBox; responsibility for the app, support, and any applicable warranties remains as stated in that license and applicable law.

BlackBox is for adults aged 18 or older using a device or computer they own or are authorized to use. Use on behalf of an organization requires appropriate authority and compliance with that organization's rules. Buying a subscription does not authorize recording anyone, access to another person's accounts, or collection of confidential information.

Authorized personal recording

BlackBox helps you record observations about your own device. Obtain every permission and consent the situation requires before recording, importing, or sharing information about other people. Recording rules differ by jurisdiction, context, and participant location; calls can involve more than one jurisdiction. An app confirmation or iOS permission does not obtain another person's consent or determine that recording is lawful.

Respect camera and microphone restrictions, workplace policies, contractual confidentiality, and protected spaces. Do not capture classified, military-restricted, confidential, privileged, or otherwise prohibited material. Disable optional photo check-ins or pause recording before entering a restricted setting. Photo check-ins require a confirmation before the rear camera starts. Audio recording is a separate manual action. BlackBox cannot determine whether the surroundings or material are legally recordable.

Do not use BlackBox for covert monitoring of another person, stalking, harassment, coercion, illegal surveillance, unauthorized device access, or evading a restriction on recording. Do not fabricate records, present user-entered information as independently verified, alter an export to mislead a recipient, or falsely claim that a deletion receipt proves what a deleted image showed. You remain responsible for what you import and disclose. These restrictions do not limit conduct that applicable law affirmatively permits.

What a BlackBox record establishes

A record describes an observation, user entry, imported file, or report from a specified source. Locations concern a device; calendar entries concern plans; biometric check-ins concern an enrolled biometric match in BlackBox; companion receipts concern the paired computer. The app does not observe everything you do, silently photograph at every screen unlock, establish a named person's presence, or provide a complete list of exact iOS app opening and closing times.

Hashes, seals, and signatures can help check recorded bytes and later changes. They do not certify that the original event was true. Independent timestamps, where enabled and verified, relate to a fingerprint and do not independently observe the underlying event. Device clocks, permissions, spoofed or unavailable signals, background limits, battery state, user edits or deletions, export omissions, and hardware/software failures can affect results. Deleted photos remain unavailable even when a fingerprint and deletion notice remain. Reports must be interpreted with the included source descriptions, gaps, and limitations.

BlackBox does not promise a perfect alibi, “court-proof” evidence, legal admissibility, a favorable legal outcome, uninterrupted coverage, or forensic recovery. It is not legal advice, a certified forensic examiner, an emergency service, or a medical service. Do not rely on it to replace emergency assistance, independent supporting evidence, required records, or professional advice. Preserve necessary originals and independent copies; follow any legal duty to preserve records before deleting them.

Free preview and monthly subscription

The planned launch offer is one free 24-hour on-device preview of automatic recording, followed by an optional BlackBox Monthly subscription at US $3.99 per month. Purchase availability depends on Apple approval and territory. Apple's purchase sheet displays the applicable price, currency, billing period, and taxes before confirmation; that displayed offer controls the purchase.

The preview begins only when you select “Start free 24-hour preview.” It lasts 24 elapsed hours, is separate from an Apple introductory subscription trial, and ends without charging you. It does not automatically become a paid subscription. Preview state is stored on-device and can survive reinstalling the app. Subscribing requires a separate explicit purchase through Apple. If you purchase during the preview, paid access and billing start immediately; unused preview time is not a credit or additional billing delay.

The monthly subscription enables continuing automatic recording. Apple processes payment; RevenueCat supports subscription administration and billing reports using Apple transaction records as described in the Privacy Policy. Apple automatically renews the subscription for another monthly period unless you cancel through your Apple Account. Apple may charge renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends; cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings or Apple subscriptions. Deleting BlackBox, pausing recording, or contacting our support does not cancel Apple billing. Access generally continues through the paid period unless Apple revokes or refunds the transaction; any applicable billing grace period follows Apple's entitlement state.

Use Restore purchases in BlackBox with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Family Sharing is not included in this plan. Purchase, cancellation, and refund rules are administered by Apple, subject to non-excludable consumer rights; request a refund through Apple Report a Problem. Contact us for app/access problems. Price changes follow Apple's required notices and consent rules and are not imposed retroactively by editing these terms.

When preview or paid access ends, automatic recording stops. Existing records remain available to view, export, and delete, and private App Activity remains available without a subscription. Retention rules still apply, including to expired subscribers. Keep Forever and incident protections can preserve eligible days; export important records before removal. A subscription does not promise unlimited storage, complete backups, or restoration of deleted data.

Your records, exports, and third-party services

You retain your rights in the content you add. These terms do not grant us rights to sell your records or use them for advertising or AI training. We do not have access to the local timeline unless you deliberately send us a copy. If you supply information for support, you authorize the limited handling needed to answer that request, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Exports can contain precise locations, media, personal information, and embedded metadata. You choose the destination and recipients and are responsible for lawful disclosure. App deletion, retention, and photo deletion do not erase prior exports, external timestamp anchors, device backups, or recipients' copies. Ordinary ZIP/PDF exports and daily folder copies are not encrypted by BlackBox; use an appropriate encrypted option and a protected destination when needed. Loss of a password or recovery key may make encrypted copies unrecoverable. Backup archives are not a guarantee of complete database restoration.

Apple, timestamp providers, email/hosting services, and storage destinations operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Their availability, report details, retention, and delivery times may change. BlackBox does not guarantee that an archive copied to a folder was successfully synced to the cloud or that an optional network request will succeed. Optional features can be turned off; they are not a requirement to grant us access to your records.

Operation, changes, and support

Keep the device secure and review permission, retention, and recording settings. iOS may suspend BlackBox, and the app may not capture an event while recording is paused, access has expired, permissions are unavailable, or the app cannot run. A status label does not guarantee continuous observations. Available features can depend on device capabilities, OS version, Apple entitlements, and territory.

We may provide updates or make reasonable changes for security, compatibility, or legal requirements. Material changes to paid functionality or these terms will be communicated where required; applicable remedies, subscription rights, and consent requirements remain in effect. An update does not silently authorize uploading existing records or changing a paid price. The dated published terms apply prospectively subject to applicable law.

Contact backofficevets@gmail.com for support, access problems, privacy questions, or a suspected security issue. Send only necessary information and redact unrelated sensitive material. We cannot recover a timeline held only on your device. If you report a possible loss of evidence, preserve the device and copies rather than repeatedly altering or deleting records.

Consumer rights and responsibility

The warranty and liability provisions in Apple's Standard EULA apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes a non-excludable warranty, statutory refund or cancellation right, liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or access to a court or regulator. These terms do not add mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, or a special monetary liability cap.

You are responsible for your authorized use and lawful handling of recordings. This does not relieve us of our own legal duties for the app or information we process. If a term is unenforceable, the remaining terms apply to the extent permitted by law. Contacting support is encouraged but is not a condition that limits a statutory complaint, refund, or remedy.
